WINTER SHOW

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the committee of the Wellington Show Association was held last" night, Mr. J. Myers presiding. Tli 6 terms of an agreement with tho Wellington Industrial Association in con. nection with tho forthcoming Winter Show were read and confirmed.

It was decided that no charge be made for the floor .space taken up by the district stands, and that the districts concerned be written to accordingly. -.

Regret was expressed at the resignation from the Publicity Committee, owing to pressure of business, of Mr. R. L. Jones. The resignation of Mr. G. Shirtcljffe,wwhso s is shortly leaving fo_Englaiid, was'also accepted, and Mr. V. Goldberg was elected to fill^his position as treasurer of the association.'

A suggestion was made that the Dunedin Exhibition authorities ,be written to, proposing that they should take space in the Winter Show with a view to ad vcrtising their own Exhibition, and this suggestion is to bo acted upon. It was urged that the date of holding the Show should be in August, in stead of in July, in order that it might coincide with the arrival in Wellington of the American fleet, when more visit ors would be attracted to the city. It was decided to seek the- approval of the Industrial. Association to such' a course.

The Red Cross Society (Peace Time Committee) is to be granted free space for a stall from which to distribute literature and enrol new members.
