(Received 21st February, noon.) ; ■■' LONDON, 20th February. A' remarkable eJrperiment has been earned out by the Cardiff Broadcasting .Studio in order to test the possibility of a doctor's, diagnosing illness by wireless. Special microphones were strapped over the. heart of three men!' " Each microphone was connected) with a twelvevalve amplifier and the latter telephonically connected with the transmitting station a wile away from the latter. The- patient's heartbeats were transmitted back to the broadcasting Studio, where doctors heard them from "a.loud speaker.. The signals were, faint in the first instance, but by means of further amplification the doctors weie able to distinguish between'the heart bea,ts of a young and healthy man and alsoyto diagnose the differing heart troubles from which the other two suffered.:Other experiments are proposed which, it is believed, will be of .great scientific value. -.■'■■ /
