HAMPTON BANK HOLD-UP
PERKINS CONVICTED OF MANSLAUGHTER.

19th February. The jury in the trial of Francis Perkins, for the shooting,of Victor Almeida in the Hampton bank, returned a rerdict of manslaughter. Perkins, who was remanded for sen: tence, in t a statement tendered as evidence, said that after strolling about oandnnghnirf beach he turned towards the railway station, when lie was held up at the point of a revolver and taken to the bank. ,
althoush mortally wounded, chased the man who had shot hitaj and returned with Perkins in his charge.
