PAVING OF ROADS
( TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Now that the question of the ■permanent paving pt roads in our citj is under consideration by the City Council, there are two thoroughfares (in many ways far more impoitant than a number that are proposed to bo paved) that have either been overlooked by the council, or.have not received the consideration that they justify. The two particularly referred" to are the main thoroughfares to pur most popular heacn : es—namely, Island Bay and Lyall Bay. Now is the time for our progressive associations to act and show' reason why these thoroughfares should be included in the work of paving about to be done.—l am, etc , PROGRESS WATCHER. ■ 12th February. . ; .
