. PARIS, Bth February. A classic love story has ended in the Law Courts with the acquittal of a pretty Polish actress, Stanislawa Uminska, who was charged with killing her lover Jean Zyznowski; the poet. It was stated in evidence that the poet fell in tovo Wlt h the actress three years a«o and then became the victim of cancer! We was removed to a Paris hospital; btanwlawa was summoned, and, cancelling her engagements, hurried thither and nursed her lover day and" nWit even consenting to the transfusion of her blood to enable him to withstand an operation. Tins was unavailing, and he entreated Stanislawa to. end us sufferings with a revolver concealed beneath his pillow. The girl long resisted, but,'tortured by the spectacle of agony, eventually drew the pistol and fired, and killed her lover.
