LODGE MEETING
The weekly meeting of Kia Ora Lodge, No. . 14, R.A.0.8. (N.Z.C.), was held on Saturday at the Southern Cross Hall, Courtenay place. Primo. Rowe, P.P., C.P.,;. presided over a large attendance., of visitors and members. Sir R. M'Crae,, K.O/M.,and Sir H. Di'mond, X.0.M., were amongst the visitors present, and conveyed greetings from their^ respective lodges. Primo J. Morris^ v Grand Lodge delegate, read the report of Grand Lodge proceedings,, and, as delegate to the Picnic .Committee, he gave details of arrangements to date. Brimo M'Clel- ' land, was ..nominated'by the lodge as a candidate for the. office of Provincial G.P. One nomination was received for membership and two new members were initiated, making a total of nine new members admitted since the commencement of the year. The lodge went into harmony,! and various brothers contributed items, which were greatly appreciated.' Bro. G. Kean acted as accompanist. C ' . . Cleveland Lodge. No. 113, 1.0.0.F.N.Z. Held its fortnightly meeting at Waldie's Hall, ' Brooklyn,' Wednesday evening, Bro. J. Pridmore, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance;.including several visitors from kindred local lodges, and Bro. Fiel, P.D.D.G.M., P.0.P., of Pioneer of Southland Lodge, No. 27, and White Flower Encampment,: Invercargill. After- transacting routine business the lodge went into harmony. ._ The fortnightly; meeting of Zealandia Lodge, No. 48, 1.0.0.F.N.Z., was held at St. Thomas' schoolroom,' Newtown,' Thursday evening, Bro. R. S. Brown, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance, including several visitors from kindred local lodges. . Three members were reported sick, and relative drafts passed.^ Two candidates were elected and initiated in regular form. Standing, socia], sick-visiting, and audit commit-' J-ces, were set up for ensuing term, and invitations from Muritai Lodge, No. 113, and Victoria Bebekah Lodge, No. 2, to social functions,, were accepted. The fortnhhtly 'meeting of Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge, No.: 38, 1.0.0.F.N.Z., was held in Southern Cross Hall, Tuesday evening, Sister E. Jones, N.G., presiding. Two sisters were reported sick. Three lady candidates were nominated, and presentations were made to Sisters E. Maley, P.N.G., and I. ,-Cole, P.N.G., for services rendered to the lodge. A mock initiation was also held, Bro. C. Havill, P.G M officiating as the candidate.- .■? • *' .
Local 1.0.0. F. members will be interested to learn-that the party, of.American business men which' recently arrived at Auckland, and reaches Wellington on the evening of 16th instant to connect with the Mauneanui, contains two members of the "-Triple Links" fraternity, Bros. 11. Johnson and J. S. Bruce, the former also being a Eebekah and Encampment member. \ . ■ ■
