The captain's prizes mixed foursomes were played atl Heretaunga on Saturday. The best cards returned were :— Mise Matthews and N;-Jt. Chapman (8), 2 up; Miss L. Brandon and W. A. Kiely (5), all square; Mrs. Marchbanks and V. G. Rhind. (6), 1 down; Mrs. Weston and D. M. Morgan (5), 1 down; Mrs. Fulton and D.- M. Findlay (12), 2 down; Mrs. Nathan and E. Page (9) 2 down.

In the knock-out tournament for the Ward Cup A. Amies (11), beat H. R H. Balneavis (2) by 4 up and, 3. to play-in the semi-final. The final will be played between.H. Morion and A.-Amies. On Saturday next, a flag competition will take place, and on the Wednesday following a ladies' tennis tournament will be held.
