Trade announcement indicating that the Gpvernment, instead of introducing a Safeguarding of Industries Bill, intends to incorporate the duties required in the Finance Bill, after the Board of Trade Committee has reported favourably and the Treasury has concurred. It is specifically mentioned that fopd and drink are,excluded. ;- . The "Daily Telegraph" regard 9 'the plan as effectively forestalling a combined attack, against the Government's fiscal policy.
