CROWBOROUGH MURDER
THORN REMANDED FOR A WEEK.

.' . LONDON, 16th January. Thorn appeared in Crovborpugh's tiny Court to-day, -which was crowded. Police Inspector Edwards testified that when charged .with murder,, Thorn did not speak, ;but only: nodded, his head. When Thorn was being removed. from the dock on a week's remand, Chief In-' spectdr Gillan intimated that Thorn had spoken to -him concerning the statement accused made to the detectives last night., ;He advised Thorn not to 'say anytltin"; further for the- present. .The Magis-, trate endorsed this advice. •'■'■ ;;' . . ■ :; The inquest has been fixed for Monday' 1
