Detectives, including members of the Scotland Yard force, have long been busy at the Sussex village of Crowborough, near London, investigating the mystery of the disappearance of Elsie Cameron, a young typist, from her home at Kensal Rise. . She left ostensibly to visit her fiance, Norman Thorn, , who keeps a poultry farm, at Crowborough. . Thorn has been the object of much attention from Crowborough residents, and London pressmen. . Statements of his have been published expressing deep grief at \ the disappearance of his fiancee and agony at her silence. Thorn was requested to visit the Cuowborough Police Station last, night, and i was interrogated and detained. Meanwhile the police have started to dig over the poultry farm. Their operations all night long'in heavy rain resulted in the discovery of an attache case containing clothing, and a pair of spectacles. »
