EMPRESS THEATRE.
Something new is promised picturegoers at the Empress Theatre to-night in the way of high-class vaudeville. The management has secured the' Higher Art Dancers Company of New York at present on a world's tour. Madame Aorai, the principal, is a wonderfully graceful and, finished artist, and has been named .Ihe Second Pavlova." Mr. William , Oakley, master of dance arts, is presenting ; the act with many beautiful lighting and scenic effects • that have" never before -been seen r 'in'the country. "Babbitt," the novel, has been made into a picture, and that picture will: :be screened in conjunction with the'dancing. The role of Babbitt" as portrayed by William Louis on the screen, is a giving picture', of the problem common to all of us. Has romance a place in our lives ? Babbitt is a hustling prosperous real estate broker, and a worthy citizen of Ohio. A dutiful husband and father, he chafes under the ever-growing din of continuous quarrel and recrimination in his home, and longs to be free to taste the joys he dreams of in his heart. : All- who read the book will go to see it, and the others 1 should- make their acquaintance with the story at this splendid opportunity. The box plan" is now open at The Bristol till 5.30 o'clock each afternoon and later at the theatre:
