The following resolution was carried' at a stop-work meeting, of the Port Chalmers Waterside "Union: "That this union expresses its dissatisfaction with the Court for allowing only a halfpenny rise on the .general, cargo .and coal rates, and also its contempt'for the Court in regard to its .attitude in respect to the treatment repair workers have received in getting only Id an hour rise, still leaving this union Id and 2d an houi worse off than at any. other port. in New Zealand, when the Court.claimed it had made a flat rate for' all- ports in New Zealand." ■
