CROQUET
NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT.
A fairly high wind at Kelburn Park this morning had some effect on the play in the North Island croquet tournament, and the play was not of the best. The final of the handicap doubles was decided between," Mrs. C. Watkiris and Stratton (1^) and Mesdames Leech' and Lempfert (65). After a game which was brightened by some fine long shots,, particularly by Sirs. Watkins, who with her partner won 2643. In the handicap singles Mrs M'Dowell (24) beat Mrs: Watkin (4) 26-21.
