GERMANY'S REPLY
TO ALLIED COLOGNE NOTE
AVOWS COMPLIANCE WITH PEACE TREATY,
(ONITED PRESS ASSOCUTION.-COPTRIQHT.) (AUSTRALIAK-NIV MALANP CABLI ASSOCIATION.) BERLIN, 6th January. The German reply to ths Allies' Note has been delivered to the Ambassadors, and the text will be published on Thursday.
The.Note protests against the nonovacuation of the Cologne area, and maintains that even if there had been minor failures to carry out the disarmament clauses of the Versailles Treaty (which had not been proved and was not admitted by Germany), the Allies would still not be justified in their action since the main fact of compliance remained unaltered.
