The Petone Club visited Paraparaumn ou Boxing Day, and played..a. very enjoyable game with the local club. Petone knocked up a total of 303 ' Canstick; a Waitaki High School -boy, played a. very attractive innings oi 60 not °v M/f len wh° did well were Hamilton (44), Cate (36), and Brice (87) A feature of the match was the stand put up by Pefone's last wicket, Brice and Oate, -who put on 136. Brice hitting nine rf/iV _PFnParaun"' made 103 . (Maggla 44). Brice secured seven wickets for 10 runs. Mailey, for Paraparaumu, who showed great promise last year as a bowler., was a disappointment on this occa- ? lon-,.ff? was unfortunate to find Brice in a hitting mood, and his bowline average suffered accordingly.
