; Comfort while travelling depends to a large extent on taking as small a quantity of luggage as possible and packing only things which do not require much space. Many of the big storos now specialise in ■ "easy-to-pack" devices. A useful possession on a journey is a small flat case of leather containing a linen face towel, flat clothes brush, comb, looking-glass,, and case for soap cr powder. Room could be found in most suitcases for the novel boot brush and polisher, which is built into a suede covor to save spaceTo hold beverage t^aken/ in the train there are folding cups of brigtit metal which fit compactly in small flat cases of suede.
A kit-bag of 'soft, brightly-coloured leather which folds perfectly flatly can be slipped into a trunk or suitcase.and will 'be very useful for excursions during ■a holiday. Among other novelties is a fiat pochette in suede fitted up as a travelling vanity and cigarette case. Designed especially for travelling purposes is a little inkpot of hard black wood with a double stopper which prevents the contents from leaking. It simplifies packing to use one of the coloured waterproof "hold-alls" made with separate compartments to take a toothbrush, tooth powder, nail brush, soap, face creams, brush and comb.
