LONDON, 15th December, bir Robert Witt, trustee of the National Gallery, speaking at the Authors Club dinner, said : "We have no power to lend works of art to the Dominions, but I can' think of nothing better calculated to bind peoples together than sharing the best treasures. The Dominions at present are poor in works of art." He suggested that Parliament should be asked to grant the necessary powers.
