The box plans for "East of Suez," which is to be staged for the first time m New Zealand at the Grand Opera House on Friday, 26th December (Boxing Night), will be opened at The Bristol on Monday morning. This is said to be a brilliant psychological study by Somerset Maughan, full of dramatic incident, and set in gorgeous colouring. Muriel Starr is said to nave scored her best triumph as "Daisy,", a beautiful young Eurasian—half-Chinese, half-Eng-lish—who finds out that East is really East, and that East and West cannot meet. Frank Harvey, as her lover, has also scored probably his greatest success. These artists will be supported by a particularly powerful dramatic /Company.
