To-morrow, the first tests of screen aspirants will be . made on the stage of the Empress Theatre by Beaumont Smith's representative, Mr. L. H. Nunn. The tests will be made twice daily, at 2.30 and 8 p.m., and the various groups of applicants will be put through short scenes from scenarios. Special studio lamps of unusual power will bo used, and the tests will be made just as thoroughly as in a- moving picture studio.
