VISITORS FROM SAMOA

TO THE EDITOR.

Sir.—Writing on behalf of a few of the members of the Samoan Expeditionary Force, may we be, allowed a little space to say how pleased we are to see that at the Town Hall next Monday night, the public of Wellington are to be given an opportunity to say farewell to the Samoan chiefs who are visiting this city. To the natives of Samoa, we owe a very real debt oi gratitude for their kindness and courtesy to the troops during their seven months of occupation in 1914. We hope that the public will respond to this invitation, and we are sure that every ex-Samoan soldier in Wellington will make a point of being present to bid them good-bye.—l am, etc., '

TA LOFA.
