CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
HOLIDAY HOURS.
For the Christmas and New Year holidays this year there will be practical uniformity throughout all the retail trades in the matter of shopping hours and late nights. It has been de° cided to observe the principal holidays as follow: — Wednesday, Christmas Eve, 8.30 a.m. till 10 p.m.; Saturday, 26th December, 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m.; Wednesday, 31st December, 8.30 a.m. till 10 p.m.; Saturday, 3rd January, 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m. These hours will apply to the businesses of grocers, jewellers, booksellers, fancy goods retailers, drapers, clothiers, mercers, and booksellers.
