AMATEUR ATHLETICS
MEETING OF NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL.
,-A meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held last evening, Mr. A. T. Davies presiding.-,' Also present were Messrs. H. Amoe, F. A. M'Fadyan, G. H. Lusk, E. Guy, F. Wilton, J. Taylor, and V. Hugo (honorary secretary). Before the general business was commenced, special consideration was given to proposed amendments in the rules.
On the motion of Mr. Wilton, it -was decided that the entrance fee for New Zealand championship events be 5s for the first event and 2s 6d for each subsequent event, the fee per team for the relay being ss. This rule was made to apply to all competitors. On the motion.of Mr. Wilton, it was decided that it be a recommendation to the centre conducting the New Zealand championships that the meeting be spread over two daye, or as an alternative, that the heats be decided in the forenoon of the day selected for the meeting. It was decided that there be a limit of three competitors from 'any province in any championship event.
