On 11th March, 1923; Miss MacLachlan, a school teacher , at' the Four .Fathom Bay School; Queen Charlotte", bound, lumped overboard, fully clothed, from a launch in Elaine Bay, and rescued a boy, Roy Archer, seven years of age, who had fallen overboard, -and in endeavouring to keep afloat had paddled away from the launch. i;.-; i ■ .••'"■'-:.' Mr Heal saved the.life.of Mr. Charles Collins an elderly man, -who was thrown upon the rocks near Island Bay during a storm m Januaiy of this year. At very great risk of serious injwy, and perhaps death, Mr Heal swam out to the rocks with a line, and with "the help of a shore party brought'Mr. Collins ashore. . : .- . /, -.:.":
