LYALL BAY GALA
An additional attraction to LyaU Bay beach during the holiday seasqn will be a gala under the auspices of the Lyall Bay Surf and Life-saving Club commencing on Boxing Day. There will be a comprehensive programme of swimming events, side shows, gymnastic displays, entertainment for children, and general sports. The idea is to . improve the conditions and generally popularise the beach. The proceeds will be in aid of the club's funds, to enable it to carry on its useful work in safeguarding the beach and bathing;
