NEW/ZEALAND EXHIBIT AT WEMBLEY.
(BI TELEGRAPH.—SPECIAL TO THE POST.J
■ ' ■ AUCKLAND, This Day. . Aa far as its exhibit of meat is con- ?. orned,» ifc w*s one.of the features of tn e Exhibition, and New Zealand has cause to bo gratified at this, and also the cutter exhibit/.' stated the Hon.' K. B. • Orchard, Australian representative at Wembley Exhibition, who is a through passenger by the Niagara. It was not fair, said Mr. Orchard, to compare tho New Zealand exhibit as » whole with that- of .Canada. The latter country has permanent Exhibition Commissioners, who, for the past' eleven' years, have been specialising in exhibiting wherever possible Canadian manufactured articles and products. In making a comparison of Australia and Canada, ho would say that Canada's was tho more artistic and Australia's the more practical.. The great complaint in England, as far as products of1 Australasia are concerned, is the lack of continuity- of supplies. "I don't think there is■• organisation for proper distribution. Storekeepers in England , told me that they could not get regular supplies. Iv the meantime other coun- ' trios supplied the want, and the market for Australian &n<T New Zealand articles ■ was lost." .-•'■■■ Touching on the lessons that had been taught by the . Exhibition, which, he said, would be invaluable, Mr. Orchard said that the continuation of the Exhibition next year would provide an opportunity of correcting some errors that had been made.'' .
