HANDICAPPER RESIGNS.
It is reported that as a result of certain criticism at the sports meeting at Athletic Park last Saturday, Mr. A. C. Kitto has handed to the Wellington Centre his resignation as official handicapper. At a meeting of the Athletic Football Sports Club last evening a motion was passed expressing confidence in Mr. Kitto as handicapper. Instructions were given that a letter be sent to the Wellington Centre with a request that Mr. Kitto be asked to reconsider his decision to resign.
