PERSONAL MATTERS

The Right Hon. the Prime Minister (Mr. W. F. Massey) is to be installed as Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge of New Zealand at Auckland this week.

The Hon. J. Craigie, M.L.C., arrived in Wellington yesterday by the Maori from Lyttelton.

The Minister of Education (the Hon. C. J. Parr) will arrive in Wellington from Auckland to-morrow.

Messrs. H. Atmore and H. W. Uru, M.P.'s, are visiting Wellington. Passengers by the Tahiti, which arrived this morning from San Francisco, include Mr. and Mrs. Tapua, Rarotongan missionaries, who are proceeding to Sydney.

It will interest many New Zealanders to know that Mr. Will Lawson, the author of many entertaining articles and stories, which have appeared in the Press of the Dominion, is in San Francisco, and, according to the officers of the Tahiti, which arrived this morning from the Californian port, is enjoying good health. Several articles from his pen have already been published in the "Pacific Marine Review," notably one on Pelorus Jack, and another on the history of the San Francisco-Sydney mail service.
