SALVATION ARMY SELFDENIAL APPEAL
'A sum of £46,705 has been realised as the result of the Salvation Army's 1924 appeal. This represents a slight increase on 1923 when £46,414 was collected. Following are the details of the divisional totals:— Auckland Division £10,790 (Auckland City £3505, Hamilton £1050). Central North Division, £8137 (Gisborne £2000). Dunedin Division, £7929 (Dunedin City £2180). Taranaki Division,- £5782 (Wanganui £1350). Wellington Division, £5900 (Wellington City £2120, Nelson £1084). Christchurch Division, £8040 (Christchurch City. £2477, Timaru £1026).
