WILL FACE PARLIAMENT

MR. THOMAS MAKES A PRONOUNCEMENT.

| (AUSTRALIAN-HEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received 29th October, 2.30 p.m.) ■ LONDON, 28th October. Mr. Mac Donald is indisposed and is unable to address a meeting this afternoon at Derby. Mr.- J. H. Thomas, predicting that Labour will be returned stronger than ever, said that the Labour Party will not resign as a result of the election, but will face Parliament with the King's Speech, in which their policy will be set out. "Those Democrats," he said, "those progressive people, will be obliged to face Parliament and go into the lobby, when they will not only be obliged to say they are turning us out, but also who they are putting in our place. That will be a very interesting division."
