FINES INFLICTED.
Infringements of tho bylaws were dealt with by Mr. C. 11. Orr Walkor, S.M., yesterday afternoon. Hawking fruit, without a liceneo cost James Martin £1 10s, and Joseph Norman £1. For driving in a dangorous manner, John Swinson was fined £4, and for failing to allow a motor to pass his motor on the Hutt road, ho was convicted and discharged. For leaving a motor-car unattended, Edward Robert Wheatley was ordered to pay costs, aud Michael Neville was fined ss. Leaving motor-cars facing tho wrong way. cost Ge&rgo Leonard Callins and Archie Gardner 10s each. Sidney Styles was fined 10s for failing to have a wheel chain on his vehicle in the street. Cutting a cornor cost Daniel Tonkins £1 10g. For exceeding 15 miles per hour in Taranaki street, Leslie William Woolley was fined £2. A fmo of £3 was imposed on Leslie Barling, who exceeded 15 miles per hour in Johnsonville. For exceeding 12 'miles per hour through the restricted area on tho Hutt road, the following fines were imposed:— Raoul Lempriore, AVilliam Thomas Gray, Joseph Leo M'Allister, Ullon F. M'Cabe, Henry Robb, £1 each ; - Joseph Francis Billiugtou, £2 : Benjamin Bloomfield Wilson, £2 10s;"Wong Hing, £3; Barbara Wilson, £3 10s. Failure to observe, the regulations in regard to the lighting of their vehicles resulted in the following fines being imposed:—Frederick l-lomng,~Ss; Arthur Barrows, 10s ; William Henry Isaac, Walter Raymond Carter, Edward Robert Wheatley, 15s each. Permitting stock to wander cost John Cavswell £1, and Oliver Gardner £1 10s; George C. Robeson was ordered to pay costs, George William Cole, who failed to comply with a cleansing order in regard to a dwelling, was ordered to pay costs. For exceeding the speed limit at Eastbourne William James Thomson and Allan Hall were each fined £2, and John Allison was fined £3 10s. A fine of £1 was imposed on Jack Wall, who drove past a stationary tramcar. Exceeding 25 miles an hour on the Hutt road costs Clara Cecilia Tatham £2, Allan Donald £2 10s, and Gordon B. Radford £3 10s. William Thomas M'Farlano was fined £1 for driving a cart on tho bitumen track on the Ilutt road, and for a similar offence Edward John Taylor was ordered to pay cosls. DE bEN CE WIOSECUTIO NS. Charles Richard Hart and Donald William Veiteh, who failed to attend drill, were each fined £1. For a similar offence Hubert Old field and Horatio Colin Cox were each lined £2, and William Brown was convicted and discharged.
