CHANGEABLE WEATHER

A westerly depression continues all over the Dominion, although the barometer, has risen everywhere, especial'^' in the North. Rain hiis fallen in man/ parts of the country, and there has been a little snow on some of the higher levels in the South. The barometer, however, is very low in the South, and at the Bluff is registering only 29.28 inches. According to the Director of the Meteorological Office/ Mr. D. C. Bates, the glass is likely to rise slightly for a short time, and northerly winds, strong to gale, with a southerly tendency, are forecasted, moderate to strong north of New Plymouth and Napier, and strong to galo at times in and southward of Cook Strait.. Changeable and showery conditions are to be expected in the North, and squally and changeable "weather elsewhere with heavy showers, especially on the north coast and southern districts.
