(Received 21st October, 10 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. A. E. R. Gilligan and M. W. Tate opened the ..bowling for England. The former player takes a run of about sixteen yards, and gets up a good pace. Ho; obtained his first wicket" with tho last, ball of the over. Tate is big and strong, and takes a short run, but swings the ball in hard. J. W. H. T. Douglas moved rather stiffly, and only bowled at a moderate puce.
