Justice Herdman, in dismissing the motion of Dr. Dundas Mackenzie for leave to take evidence on conunisr -' sion. said that the application to have Dr/ Mackenzie's name-removed from the register of-inedical practitioners" was made by the Medical Board on the ground' that the doctor had been .guilty of infamous conduct in a.professional respect, in that in the past,,four-years-he had, it was alleged;1 practised; •an alleged scientific method of diagnosis and treatment known' as AVrams: - Honour had' been led to understand that little or no-evidence of the inherent'honesty of Abrams' system could be obtained m New Zealand'or Australia, of in authoritative medical; books. • The yery fact that there existed such widespread dennite scepticism about the genuineness or the system proved, if justice.was to ne done, the--evidence 'tendered 'in-'sUp. - port of..the system would have-to-be' submitted to.the eeveresT'te'sti whicli was only possible by the" attendance of witnesses. • ■ ■■>•■--.
