, r7.' completß^ arrangements have been made for" "a 'fitting celebration of , Labour D..ay, on Monday, next, and those who spend the holiday at Newtown Park should- be well rewarded, as anattractive programme of athletic sports and. novelty events has been drawn'up. Uhere will be no procession this year, but the day's programme will commence at the Park at 11.30. Apart from the usual athletic programme, there will be a number of cycling races, which, being an innovation as far as Labour- Day 5 SRortef? are concerned,, should prove a 'big-attraction.--. The lucky baby competition should aiso prove of great interest, especially to mothers. - The first 1 prize,' it is announced, will be £5, and other generous'prizes will also be given.
