Richardson 22, Clem Hill 40). - The weather was fine and the wicket good. Kelloway <!nd Carter put on 99 for the ninth wicket, and for the last Mailey helped Kellewa-v to add 59. With the exception of Ratefme, who gave a flrst-class plucky display against koen bowling and fielding, and the old champion, Clom Hill, the Australia team made a poor showing, and appeared to bo ovoiI burdened by tho enormous scoro piled up I against them.
