A petition was presented -k> Parliament yesterday signed by a number of farmers of North Canterbury asking - ' that an Act be passed prohibiting the issue of certificates of record of dairy cattle except by permission of the Minister of Agriculture and under conditions prescribed by him. < "In view of the favourable prospects of developing an export trade from New Zealand in purebred cattle/ states the petition, "it is important that rill certificates of record of dairy cows issued ' in the Dominion should ba of unquestionable authenticity."
