BRISK COMPETITION CONTINUES.

The High Commissioner, cabling, London, 27th September, reports:—"Wool: Sales continue well attended, with competition brisk in all sections. New Zealand crossbred selling well, principally, to Yorkshire buyers. Opening price's fully maintained."
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Lid., report haying received the following cablegram from their London house, under date ■•-I the 26th September :— "Wool sales continue firm, with1 an upward tendency for greasy crossbred wools of all descriptions. As compared with last sale's closing rates, prices far greasy halfbred wools are 4c! to 5d higher; greasy crossbred wools, fine and medium quality, 3d to 4d higher; greas'v crossbred wools, coarse quality, 2d to 3d higher. Greasy, 56 to 58's, realised up to 39d; slipe halfbred lamb's wool, up to 42d.'.'
