EMPRESS THEATRE.

■Probably the cleverest revelation o£ life in the Broadway choruses that has visited Wellington for some time is the "Gold Diggers," which is now drawing crowded houses to the Empress Theatre. The picture has a triple attractionpretty girls, prettier dresses, and wonderful humour, which cannot fail to keep the audience in a constant titter. The story is not much different to the usual run of New-York productions,'-but it is the acting that counts, and here there comes to light the natural ability of the favourite, Hope Hampton. There is an excellent comedy and a gazette in the supporting programme, and the Empress Orchestra is heard in many charminc numbers. °
