TAHITI FROM SAN FRANCISCO.
Smooth seas and fine weather throughout the voyage were experienced by the Union Company's R.M.S. Tahiti, which arrived in the stream at Wellington shortly after S o clock this morning from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga. The vessel was bearded by the port health and; Customs authorities, and, pratique granted, she berthed at the Taranaki street Wharf at 9.30. The Tahiti sailed from San Francisco at 1 SO p.m. on 10th September, and mada the ruu down to Papeete in ten days, arriving at the port at 5 a.m. on 20th September. Papeete was left the same evening at, 6 0 clock, and the ship proceeded to EarnSeptember. After loading a quantity of fresh fruit the Tahiti cleared Itarotonga at 1 o'clock the following moraine for Wei "ngton. The voyage was made without incdent.
