BOXING

CUREAN v. BROWN.

Much interest is being taken in the boxing contest to be held in the Palace Theatre, Petone, on Monday, 6th October. The contest will be between George Curr'an, featherweight champion o£ New Zealand, and Bert Brown, of Palmerston North, the challenger for the title. Curran recently defeated Can- on the Coast, and Brown is very' much fancied by his numerous Palmerston North friends, and is sure to put up a great fight. Four amateur bouts will also be staged. One in particular which should be attractive is between Plamus and Bob Fitzsimmons, heavyweights. Prices and train time-table are advertised in this issue.
