At Rugby, Blackheath defeated Cardiff by 26 points to 3; Richmond defeated Cambridge University by 13 points to 8; and Oxford University defeated Leicester by 11 noints lo 10. In the county championship Northumber-. land beat Cheshire by 17 points to 13.
