LODGE MEETING
: The'weekly meeting of Lodge Kia Ora, No. 14, N.Z.C.R.A.0.8.,-was held on Saturday evening. There was a good attendance of members. Primo M'Leland, P.P., presided. One caudidato .was ' initiated:'Y After the usual business the - lodge spent an enjoyable hour or two in" -harmony, ; which was opened by Bro; J. Morris, W. Minstrel, who gave .Mendelssohn's'."Spring Song"> as a pianoforte solo. ' Vocal steins were rendered by Bros. Moody, Kean, Bryant, Ayling, and Skeats. The accompanists were Bros. Kean and 'Morris. Two toasts, "The King and the Order," and "Absent Brethren," were also honoured. A vote of sympathy with relatives ■ of the. crew of the Ripple 'was carried in silence. During the evening' ing brothers congratulated the'1 presiding primo and his officers-on the .result of their efforts, the lodge having only been in existence for four ■ wVeks"-.
