MORE RE-INSTATEMENTS.
The Management Committee of the New • Zealand Ru;by Union met last evening, Mr. A. C." Kitto presiding. Others present were: Messrs. T. A. Fletdier, C. Mullany, E. Wylio, E. M'Keuzie, W. F. Hornig, and H. E. Combs (secretary).
The Manawatu Rugby. Union advised that its match with Ilawkes Bay on the 3CHi August would be for the Ranfurly Shinld, in the event of Hawkes Bay retaining possession of the trophy meanwhile
In forwarding a protest by the Manawatu Referees' Association against outside referees, being appointed Uk matches in their district, the Mannwatu Rugby Union expressed regret that the Appointment .Board departed from its usual prae'tice of appointing a local referee to control the AH Black .matches where there was a local referee capable of officiating.
