LOCAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Assoczation was held last evening, Mr W ..Duncan presiding. There were also present: Messrs. G. Aers, F. G. Smythe, F. B. Ihe Marlbprongh Association wrote, stating that it was prepared to accept a visit from a Wellington senior B team, which might leave Wellington on the 19th September. A sub-committee was set up to consider the invitation Mr. A. E Turner, on behalf of the Welgasco Club, attended to hand over to the committee a challenge cup in place fnriqP9C9? Y^ the WelgMCO Club for 1922-23, which was.lost. "My committee wish to have one already-agreed-on point clear, and that is, should the cup be unearthed in the near future, the Welgasco Football .Club has the right-to nominate the cup to any grade of Association football playing in Wellington," said Mr. Turner. "My committee wish me to state they are very sorry you have been put to so much trouble over the disappearance of the cup, while the cup was held by the club. We hope your committee will accept this'cup in the good faith in which it is sent, and once a^ain clear the good name of the Welgasco Club." On behalf of the W.F.A Mr' Duncan thanked Mr. Turner for the cup' which is a replica of the lost cup, and agreed to the condition mentioned by Mr Turner.
