KING'S THEATRE.

"The Eternal Struggle" will be finally screened to-day at the King's Theatre. It is a . film version of the famous novel of the same name, and the producer, Reginald Barker, has left no stonci unturned to give realism to a graphic tale of the North-west. An exceptionally strong cast is. featured, including Barbara La Mavr, Earle. Williams, Pat O'Malley, Wallace Beery, and Joseph Swickard. The supports are a comedy and a beautiful Burton Holmes travelogue. ' .' . "When a Man's a Man," Harold Bell Wright's powerful novel, will be screened to-morrow a .t the King's Theatre. A superb cast is headed by John Bowers, who has the role of Lawrence Knight, and Marguerite de la Motte, who plays Helen Wakefield, a young society woman. She refuses Knight's proposal of marriage, and tells him that he ia a "useless idler,"' that she admires true manhood, and has a contempt for riches.. Knight goes to Arizona, gets ' off the tram to watch a rodeo, is left in the town, and then makes up his mind to earn his own living under an assumed name. He meets Phil Acton, a friendly cow puncher, who directs him to the ranch of "The Dean," where he gives his name as Patches, and eventually becomes adapted to ranch routine. He meets Kitty Reid, whose father owns a near-by ranch, and with whom Phil Acton is. in .love. Patches, believing himself in love with Kitty, proposes "to her, and she accepts him. Then out West comes_ Helen,. who has married Stanford Manning, a civil engineer.' Knight saves her from death, then seizes her in his arms, only to learn she is married. This is part of the story, a story millions of people have read.. The picture was actually filmed in Arizona. The supporting programme will include comedy, gazette, and a special musical 'score arranged by the musical director, Mr. L. D. Austin. The box plan is now open at The Bristol,. or after 6.30 seats may be reserved at the theatre. A matinee will be held on Saturday aiternoon.
