COMPENSATION FOR TANNERIES COMPANIES
A petition was presented to Parliament last session on behalf of the Wools^on Tanneries Company, Ltd., prayin" for compensation for fiuancial losses alleged to have been due to the Government control, of the export of hides. IHe petition was referred to the PubEc Petitions M to Z Committee, .which drew up a report upon it. The report is now to be considered" by a Joint Committee of the House of Re-preseutatn-es and the Legislative Council and to that end representatives of both Chambers were appointed yesterday Jo act on the comniitteo.
