NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. ]W-OTICE is hereby" given that at a i-^ bpecial Meeting of the Makara Gounty Council, held on Friday, the | thirteenth day of June, 1924, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation, at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on i in y> the- elshth d"y °f August, 1924, at 1U a.m., at the Council Chambers, Ballance street, Wellington. RESOLUTION: That in pursuance and exercise of theSCT r?hr1' n c?. te4,, 1 iIX h by "The Counties wih»9% {{> 8, Public Works Act, 1908, "lhe Health Act, 1920," "The Motor Regulation Act, 1908," and Amendments thereof, and any or every other Act and powers and Amendments thereof (if any) in that behalf enabling, the Council of the County of Makara hereby makes, by Special Older, Bylaws making tor the good rule and government of the County of Makara, and for any purpose specially provided for by any other Act, such Bylaws to be known as "The ByZt County of Makara, 1924." ihe objects and purport of such Bylaws shall be as follow:— 1. Providing for the regulation of-traffic. _ i.. Providing for the inspection and licensing of vehicles plying for hire, and fees i to be paid—regulating the number of passengers and weights to be carried, and lighting of all vehicles. 3. Regulating heavy traffic. ■ j 4. Providing for care and management of roads, and enumerating Acts constituting oifences on roads and public places. 0. .Regulation of motor traffic. 6. Health gonerally—plumbing, drainage, and sanitation. , 11- Regulating the erection of buildings, dwelling sites, and areas upon which dwellings may be eroded. 12 Regulating conduct of public places, beaches, etc., under the control of the Council.
