LATER SHOPPING TRAIN
An announcement is made by the Railway Department in another column in this issue of the Department's intention to run the Friday evening train", which up till the present has left Lambton for Petone and Lower Hutt at 8.30 p.m., at 8.50 p.m., in order that the transport of those who visit the city for the late shopping night, and employees of shops, where the 8.30 o'clock closing hour is recognised on Friday evenings, may be better catered for. The new rule will be put into oneraticn next Friday evening.
