OXFORD UiSION MEMBERS FOR NEW ZEALAND.

A proposal is on foot that three members of the Union Society of. Oxford University shall visit New Zealand in February or March next. The party is to-include- tho son of Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, the Labour Prime Minister oE Great Britain, and two ex-presidents of the Oxford Union.. Tho party will visit America in December and 'January next, and will engage in debates with representatives of the larger Ame-rica-n Universities, and will then come on to New Zealand and Australia At a- meeting of the Victoria University College Students' Association last irMit it was decided by special vote to guarantee .up to £50 towards expenses incurred by the visit. The visitors are to_ engage in debates with three picked Victorian University College Students, and will probably visit'the other three University Colleges in New Zealand. The opinion was-expressed at the meetins of tho association that subjects of a Bolshevistic or Socialistic nature should not be discussed, and a. motion to this effect was moved; .but it was ultimately decided that all questions to be debated in-Wellington must be-subject to tho approval of the executive of the Students' Association
