(ADSTKALIAM-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 20th June. Norman E. Brookes was taking a low volley after a long rally in the semifinal against Colonel A. R. F. Kingscote when he received the injury to his eye. The ball came off the edge of his racquet and hit his eye. The injury is not serious, and he is expected to be able to play again on Monday, but, meantime, he was compelled to scratch, though leading 5-1 in the first set. Kirigscote meets Gordon Lowe in the final to-morrow.
